About Moss

Moss began as a lightweight utility designed to cut through the clutter of modern productivity apps. Traditional schedulers often rely on dated technology, overwhelming grids, forced sign-ups, intrusive subscriptions, and cloud storage that uploads a complete snapshot of your daily life just so you can stay organized.

Moss takes a different approach. By running entirely on your own processor using a compact offline language model and speech recognizer, Moss delivers lightning-fast natural language scheduling, note taking, and chat abilities while keeping your personal data protected.

Ryder is a mechanical engineering sophomore and chair of ASME at Washington State University. With a history of tinkering, 3D design, and coding, he brings a hands-on perspective to AI software development. Believing that local AI is a vital counterweight to cloud-heavy infrastructure, he built Moss to make personal scheduling faster, simpler, and entirely private.

When he isn't at his desk or definitely studying for classes, Ryder is either hitting jumps full speed on his mountain bike, going on aimless walks, hanging with friends, or listening to loud music with noise cancellation on.
